Some companies analyze social media to determine the pulse of employee sentiment. Facebook recently launched beta-testing for the "dislike" emoji in Ireland and Spain. Surely, this will be a major contributor to sentiment analysis in the future. Twitter even redesigned their employee-pulse survey to include more open-ended questions. Bottom line? Sentiment analysis is a tool to maintain positive morale and keep employees happy at work. In turn, they aren't as likely to leave the company.
